Aid Africa's "Give Back the Gold" Garden Party

Last Saturday, just as the mercury hovered around 90, guests gathered at a private home in La Crescenta with their much of their gold and costume jewelry. At one time, this jewelry was considered precious to each of these guests, and on this day, the jewelery would truly be worth it's weight in gold.

Aid Africa is a non-profit organization dedicated towards helping children in Uganda receive food and clean water. In addition, Aid Africa spreads knowledge and demonstrates how to build stoves, drill wells, and repair damaged wells, while simultaneously providing medical care for orphans in need. These are just a few of the projects that Aid Africa has spearheaded in Northern Uganda.

At Aid Africa's "Give Back the Gold" Garden Party, guests were given the opportunity to have their gold and costume jewelry appraised and to donate the proceeds directly to Aid Africa.
